MPAcc Program


The Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) Program, Xiamen University, was launched with the approval of the Academic Degree Office of the State Council in 2004, run by the Accounting Department of Xiamen University, which is one of the first batches of pilot units of MPAcc Education in China. Built upon the strength of the Accounting Department, utilizing the resource advantages of the School of Management, XMU MPAcc aims to cultivate an education base that will contribute to China’s economic construction by educating future CFOs with an international scope, and innovative approaches, to develop the program into an internationalized education institution that educates students with leadership skills, strategic vision and with an international scope.

Faculty from the Accounting Department and School of Management are responsible for teaching and dissertation supervision. In addition, the Center also invites reputed professors from other schools in Xiamen University, in China and in other countries, and practitioners with rich experience, to teach in the Center.

Up to now, the Center has had classes in Xiamen, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Kunming, and Fuzhou enrolled about 1100 students. It is one of the highest enrollment rates among similar programs in the country. Moreover, the Center has also been able to attract such top clients as China Construction Bank, China Shenhua Group, Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, Hangzhou Power Group, Yunnan Zhongyan and Fujian Zhongyan.
