Assistant Professor in Finance

Job Description & Qualification

The Department of Finance in the School of Management at Xiamen University is seeking qualified candidates to fill three full-time faculty positions at the assistant professor rank in the area of finance. Salaries are very competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Qualifications:
Applicants should have completed or be near the completion of doctoral studies in finance or a related field from AACSB, EQUIS or AMBA accredited universities, be able to deliver high-quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants are also expected to demonstrate the potential to attain a superior research record by publishing in top-tier finance journal in the future. Applicants who have already had a well-established record of publishing research articles in top-tier finance journals and an advanced pipeline are preferable.

1) Cover letter;
2) Curriculum vitae which includes details of courses taught, teaching evaluations, and contact information of at least three references;
3) Evidence of professional qualifications in PDF format;
4) Three reference letters from academic/professional peers, all in PDF format;
5) Job market paper and other research samples.

A number of eligible applicants will be selected for a preliminary interview by December 11, 2018 and short-listed applicants will be invited for a campus visit around December 20, 2018. The final decision would be made in early January 2019.
