Professor William N. Brown’s New Book was Nominated the Fifth China New Development Awards by Springer Nature

Recently, Springer Nature has announced the shortlisted books of fifth China New Development Awards, professor William N. Brown’s new book: The Evolution of China’s Anti-Poverty Strategies, which was published by FOREIGN LANGUAGES PRESS had entered into the list.

The book is based on prof. William's re-visit to China in 2019, with what he saw and heard on the road as the main content, combined with his feelings, and tells the story of the struggles and life changes of 20 characters in a true and sincere way. The fate of each of them is closely related to the development of the country. Prof. William's narration showed the enthusiasm, innocence, wisdom and diligence of the Chinese, and also allowed more people to witness the speed and miracle of China's development.

The China New Development Award is part of Springer Nature's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, which was initiated by Springer Nature in 2019 to recognize the important research contributions made by Chinese book authors to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to promote the sharing of relevant research results. Each selected book is directly related to one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The judging committee is made up of Springer Nature's in-house editors and sustainability project directors, and the main criteria for judging are the scientific value and social impact of the research.
